We get many quotes for costs to hire a coach for a wedding. The range from travelling a short distance from the wedding venue to the reception or a longer journey for extended members of the family to travel down together to the wedding.

 

Regardless of the type of coach journey booked, the cost to hire a coach for a wedding is dependent on a number of different things:

 

 

• Size of Vehicle

 

If your wedding party needs to travel between the wedding venue and the reception, the larger the coach then the higher the cost to hire a coach for the wedding. A 16 seater minibus is approximately 1/3 of the price of a full size 49 seater coach. A double decker coach (not a bus) costs about 30% more than a full size 49 seater coach.

 

• Distance between Wedding and Reception

 

Typically it would be unusual for the reception to be much further than 60 minutes drive away from the wedding venue. If the wedding venue is close to the reception then the coach to hire a coach for the wedding will be minimal - typically you will be charged a minimum call out of about £150 for a short trip on a full size coach.

If you are travelling 200 miles to a wedding, and returning the same day then the cost to hire an executive coach for the wedding will be much higher - around £700-800 for a long day hire.

These prices for hiring a coach for a wedding are dependent on seasonality. Summer, the time when weddings are most popular also tends to be the time when coach hire costs are highest. You can expect to pay 20-30% more in summer time due to high demand.
