Coach companies used by Coach Hire Booking all vary in size. The coach companies can be either a small family business with a single coach or minibus, a partnership with a small fleet of coaches or a larger coach company with a large fleet of vehicles. Regardless of the size of the coach company, Coach Hire Booking ensure that the quality of the coach companies used meet our stringent standards.
Coach companies require by law to have an operating premises from where they run their coach company and store their vehicle maintenance records and indeed the vehicles themselves. Depending upon the size of the coach company, they may have one or more of the following:
- A yard to store the coaches

- A fully equipped garage
Coach Companies must have a valid PSV Operators licence. Coach companies are issued these by VOSA after stringent checks that make sure the coach company has a transport manager and sufficient funds for investing in the coaches to keep them road worthy.
The coach companies must carry out regular vehicle checks or inspection schedules, typically every 6 weeks, to ensure their coaches are kept in good condition. Futher to this, a yearly check is done on the coaches which is must be signed off by VOSA.
All coach companies used by Coach Hire Booking are vetted by our compliance department. Copies of the coach company documents are stored safely in our head office and these are kept up to date by a dedicated coach company compliance team.
